Daniel Tinney decided to start this company 9 years ago after recognizing a need in the Tidewater area for complex contracting jobs. These require highly skilled professionals who are familiar with large structural remodeling and home additions, which we specialize in. Our team of professionals are passionate about design and construction.

We have a true love and appreciation for the Tidewater region and its people, and we dedicate ourselves to providing a space you’ll enjoy for years to come. Daniel spent the better part of two decades applying his talent to the residential building trades before pursuing general contracting on his own. Learning technique and skills that enabled him to become a master carpenter shaped the person he is today, and he’s committed himself to sharing his skills with newer generations.

Our company logo embodies our values and is inspired by our owner’s surname. The name “Tinney” is anglicized from the gallic name Mac an tSionnaigh "Son of the Fox". The Celtic fox is a symbol of wisdom and cunning. This animal knows their surrounding better than anyone else, is quick, strategic, and highly adaptable. All of these attributes make up the cornerstone of a great construction company, and we focus on using these skills in every project we take on. Combined with a truly creative mind set and detail-oriented application, “Celtic Fox” is set apart in this industry.
